DAVID WINDSOR has spent the last forty-five years as a hair designer, hair colorist, and make-up artist. His first 10 years were spent in Minneapolis, Minnesota. working with nationally acclaimed Cricket and Guthrie Theatres and managing a major department store beauty salon. His work was in great demand by executive women, and television and theater personalities. Working on movie and television location he styled the hair and made-up such stars as Tippi Hedren, Jean Seberg, Bob Hope, Vincent Price, Ava Gabor, and Pauline Trigere. Eager to continue creating new beauty statements for models and celebrities as well as fashion conscious women, David moved to San Francisco, Ca. in 1969, where he specialized in Haircolor and make-up at Elizabeth Arden and Fabulous Faces. He later opened his own salon on Post Sr. followed by a studio on Maiden Lane in San Francisco. As a make-up artist who is also a superb haircolorist David continued his work as guest artist for Clairol and the Congress of Colorists as well as his in-salon work until 1985.

Increasing demands as beauty educator and lecturer rook DAVID WINDSOR to New York City in 1985. He first designed color ar Kenneth's Townhouse salon, then toured the U.S. for one year as a National Educator for LOGICS Colorcremes, Clairol's new entry into exclusive haircoloring. He then returned to salon work creating haircolor and make-up for Minardi-Minardi lmagemakers and later as Artistic Director for the Color Institute at Saks Fifth Ave. in Manhattan. While in New York David worked on such personalities as Joan Rivers, Mary Tyler Moore, Gloria Vanderbilt and Liza Minnelli. He has served as associate educator for Renbow International Haircolor and Clairol Inc., as guest presenter for the International Haircolor Exchange and conducts private in-salon haircolor seminars nationwide.

In 1991, David accepted the position of Direction of Education for Esthetics and Beauty Supply in Toronto, Ontario. In addition he served as Artistic Director for Anthony Braden Cosmetics with responsibility for make-up and skin care, as well as for all professional and retail hair care products. He also served as Artistic Director with responsibility for tradeshows, color selections and new product development.

In August 1992, David returned to Minneapolis, his home, and served as Haircolor Specialist/Designer for Regis Salon Mall of America and Horst Salons in Edina, MN. From 1995-2004, David was President/CEO of DAVID WINDSOR IMAGES, INC. of Edina, MN. David is currently a freelance artist at Sola Salon Studio Number 30, 3519 W. 70th St., Edina, MN 55435.
